I queried the other day as to how Orta was watching players, and only the next 
day I read on LeedsLive:-

Leeds United were one of the 12 clubs to have a scout (Gabriel Ruiz) at RSC 
Lens vs LOSC Lille on Friday evening. One player that has been linked with a 
move to Elland Road is Lens centre-back Loic Bade. Bade played the full 90 
minutes for Lens, who were comfortably beaten on the night - but this is 
unlikely to be the first time Leeds have watched him, if that's indeed the 
reason why they were there.

So, who knows - maybe Bielsa’s final strategy is a team with 5 left wingers and 
5 centre-backs ;-)

I think he’ll have learnt a big lesson from the Crawley game as to how to 
approach next season, if he’s still here? 

I like the sound of the 50 year anniversary and winning it again too ;-) 

Mind you, it does mean we’ll have to endure thousands of showings of 
Montgomery’s save again, not to mention references to Colchester, Sutton, 
Crawley, Histon, Wigan etc.

I saw that too. Seemed to me like it was a case of  if MB decides to 
leave, he (Fonseca) would be an option. I don't know if Leeds have 
spoken to him or not.


I don't see MB leaving this season, but he might decide to call it a day 
and head back to Argentina after next season. Facts are that he has 
stayed here the longest, and genuinely seems happy here, and, crucially 
the team has not slowed down / digressed to any extent, which may be an 
indicator that he can take them further (with a few upgrades).


More interesting for me is when he does decide to go, who would be a 
good fit to take over after him?

I’d love us to have a proper go at FA Cup next season. It’s annoying that the 
way the draw went this season we could have got to the semi-final without 
having to play anyone higher than us in the league. Though obviously with the 
restrictions it wouldn’t have been the greatest season to get to Wembley. Maybe 
next year.

To me, the ONLY downside to this season (Apart from no fans of course) is 
simple; we've lost 4 times to the two most boring teams, scoring no goals in 
those 360 minutes.
The way Wolves and Brighton set up and play, isn't unattractive and is very 
much based on possession - But they both, ultimately, want to try and walk it 
into the net ala Barcelona under Pep. Against teams like this, we clearly 
struggle (Both will finish below us in the League). MB will, I'm sure, be aware 
of this and, hopefully address next season.
Genuinely not bothered about the drubbing at Old Trafford or MOST of the 
defeats this season, other than those 4. Those 12 points would have put us 5th, 
1 point behind Leicester!
Mind you, I (personally) don't want European football yet. If we did I think 
we'd suffer in the same way Wolves have done by overachieving a bit too soon, 
without having the ability to bolster the squad in preparation for the 'rigours 
of success'
