[LU] Berardi

2017-08-07 Thread Richard Naef
Looks like he dislocated his shoulder - some poor bugger had to "pop it back
in" at half time - given his fiery temper I presume the medical team had to
draw straws to get someone to do it, who then had to be put in one of those
bomb disposal suits. Anyway hopefully he'll be back soon. No news on
Pennington yet though. We've signed Borthwick-Jackson from a small club
somewhere over the Pennines.

[LU] Berardi

2015-11-24 Thread nat...@sky.com
A bit surprised to see we have appealed his red card. A bit risky, I can see
them increasing it by a game or two for pushing the lino, not going straight
off and just his general behaviour.
I know he was 'more sinned against than sinning' and do have sympathy for him -
any player who takes an elbow to the face like that is bound to re-act but I
cannot see how the authorities will condone it.
I hope I am wrong since Berardi is one of my favourite players -7 or  8 out of
10 every week from him and he shows a good attitude to being played out of
position etc but still think it is a risk
Evans did suggest that Best was getting reported both for the elbow and for an
attempted headbutt in the melee that followed , so hopefully he will get 6 or 7
games in total (not that that does us any good really)

By the waydidn't see any answer to the King of Tonga's question
about what is the status of Berardi..I haven't seen any official
news on it, but I did notice in the Guardian's preview of the Anfield
extravaganza that he was listed along with Forshaw as a longterm injured
player. This could mean either a) that he has been given a new contract, or
b) (more likely, unfortunately) that The Guardian have not done any proper
research.

Is it true? Does this mean he's (miraculously?) over his injury? Does this

Well according to the official site they've reduced his suspension to 2 games

Re: [LU] Berardi

2015-11-24 Thread John Boocock
The red card was the highlight of the match for me. The whole event was very
depressing right down to the almost invisible row markings in the aisle.

Actually there was another high point when an enormous bloke started having a
go at a wee lass and she slapped him so hard you could see the mark of her hand
on his cheek. Not sure that he deserved it and I certainly think he could win
an appeal over it if he wears a well fitting suit in court.

Oh and I stood up right through the match (with the rest of the kop) without
being told what to do by a weirdo in a hi vis jacket.

The ticket was £28 which I rather wish I'd spent in a warm pub adding up the
numbers on my bus ticket. It's got to get better than this surely.

Given Bielsa's contract negotiations tend to cover things like the tea lady's
trolley, i'd be amazed if he hasnt ensured that one of his favourite players is
looked after.
As to KOTs other question - there was some press this morning about RB
Leipzig's president saying they are preparing to take legal action over
Augustin - I suspect this is likely to end with an out of court settlement with
us paying the majority of the fee and them being allowed to sell him to someone
else
