Re: [LU] FT 1 0
me too Dave. A good day on the beer spoiled again by the game. After such a promising 2nd half at Wolves I was really looking forward to the game but we were poor throughout. Evans didn't start with our best player against Wolves ,, instead opting for Luke Murphy, who never offers anything. A really poor decision in my book. and then Evans blamed it all on getting back late after the Wolves game. Unbelievable. Oh well, we won. Re: [LU] FT 1 0
Your report is right Dave, one of the most unsatisfying victories... I think part of it is the attitude on display and for that you have to look to the manager. Every corner/free kick around our box that Preston got we had all 11 back there in the box - even when they had 10 men. When we got a couple of corners late on, they left 2 on the half way line...meaning we had to have 3 defenders back there. I never think it's right not have at least 1 man up for the long punt out of defence, but there's no excuse when they're a man down. The other example being, when we did get corners in the second half, we played them short and tried to shield the ball in the corner... Both of which said that the manager and/or the players just wanted to hang on, having no desire or belief that they could press on and score more. Listened to the game on LUTV, and Eddie said almost the same as you, but he finished off saying that it's 10 points out of 12, 5 pts off the play-offs and if we carry on the non-losing streak, the performance will soon be forgotten. and maybe 2 games in 4 days is too much for the soft buggers! > -Original Message- > From: leedslist-boun...@gn.apc.org [mailto:leedslist-boun...@gn.apc.org] > On Behalf Of nat...@sky.com > Sent: 20 December 2015 19:46 > To: davidwool...@gmail.com; Leeds List > Subject: Re: [LU] FT 1 0 > > I do not remember the last time I enjoyed a win so little and it was not just > me, the whole crowd were totally underwhelmed with the victory today.
