base - they buy more tat in the club shop as they equal more visits and
they get charged more per seat over the season than ST holders.

ST holders they have said if we go up there will be no new STs available (if we
stay down this will be the case if most renew as I read it)

The lads I know are all accepting the cash without any problem - to be fair
they have also renewed their ST for next season.Dave(us 20 yr ST holders were
mentioned in the original offer as not being eligible for a refund)

I read that the club is preparing to keep its promise to make refunds to
season ticket holders for not making the play offs. Sadly, it's a double
edged sword what with the disappointment of not making the top 6 coupled
with the financial loss of having to make the refunds.

I'm not a season ticket holder, but I'd be interested to know how many,  who
are,  will be accepting or applying. It's rumoured that it'll cost the club
about £1M - not a huge sum in the football world, but money that could go
towards strengthening the playing squad.

Perhaps everyone involved will happily accept the funds back and think
"Tough luck MC,  you shouldn't have made the promise and now it's time to
pay up"

Alternatively, the money could be used, for example,  to pay for a more
attractive package to sign up Monk or his replacement and push for success
next season.

What do you think?

Dave

[LU] season tickets

2013-07-11 Thread nat...@sky.com
My new ST arrived today - like the look of it - very minimalist , plain white
with just the club crest, looks smart (or as smart as these things can look)
Better than having a player on it, especailly a player who then leaves !

Watched LUTV highlights from last night, not much to learn from it - Smith
looks slow but did bend well to get to his header for the goal, Hunt looks busy
and neat and tidy, Poleon is very one footed.

Hard to judge against such poor opposition and such short highlights

It is nice to see the 3 strikers all scoring in pre season games - just need
Ross to find his scoring boots now, but he has been playing as a midfield
playmaker allegedly
