Despite the comeback, that was simply not good enough. Kristenson and Firpo
cannot defend and the central pair were like watching the Chuckle brothers.
Never rated Struijk as a central defender and I think today really showed why.
Our midfield was non-existent.

They were proper shite and we really struggled. Not many positives for me
however pleased for the fans that we actually clawed it back. Imagine the 6
hour coach journey back home if we’d lost.
Boreham Wood and Accrington away if we win. Winnable ! Maybe this is our year ?

I'm not great fan of the Mail on Sunday, but there is a huge piece on the
Cardiff game 21 years ago when we were top of the Premiership and got
humbled by a committed Cardiff team.

The current players, management, owners and everyone should be forced to
read that this morning and told how much the memory of that day still hurts
Leeds fans. The actions of Sam Hammam and the immediate aftermath is still
painful.

It could also be regarded as the El Alemein moment in Leeds recent history
as nothing much went right from then on for a long time.

Whilst the players from that day have all moved on to other clubs, and in
20 years time the current bunch will all be elsewhere, the fans will have
to live with what happens today for 20 years and more. So firstly let's
pick a team that can put a bit of trepidation into the Cardiff players
rather than encourage them, and then motivate them that it is not a
pointless sideshow to the league.

Good to see that our b-team also have the ability to f*** it up all by
themselves?

Some good signs going forward, so not done yet, but we’ll need at least 3 to
win it imho!

Not sure how much our part B-team will worry Cardiff, but hopefully we’ll have
more than enough for them. Firpo on the pitch, so prepare for slapstick - he
might even score, but whether he’ll defend or not who knows?

I do actually think this should be comfortable, for no logical reason
whatsoever ;-)

Brilliant memory post King of Tonga. Yes, some of us still live with the
memory of that game, and I think a few of us still regard that as the last
time LUFC had any ambition to progress in that competition. I'm not sure this
squad are 1972 capable, but I wish at least we'd give it a fucking go instead
of fielding U-17s, thereby showing some respect to the 6,000+ fans travelling
to the game and paying hard-earned moolah for an expensive day-out. Not all of
the fans are on £30,000 a week

I'm not great fan of the Mail on Sunday, but there is a huge piece on the
Cardiff game 21 years ago when we were top of the Premiership and got humbled
by a committed Cardiff team.

The current players, management, owners and everyone should be forced to read
that this morning and told how much the memory of that day still hurts Leeds
fans. The actions of Sam Hammam and the immediate aftermath is still painful.

It could also be regarded as the El Alemein moment in Leeds recent history as
nothing much went right from then on for a long time.

Whilst the players from that day have all moved on to other clubs, and in
20 years time the current bunch will all be elsewhere, the fans will have to
live with what happens today for 20 years and more. So firstly let's pick a
team that can put a bit of trepidation into the Cardiff players rather than
encourage them, and then motivate them that it is not a pointless sideshow to
the league.
