Good I like this loan, maybe it will become permanent, young keeper, prefer
taking him over Gomes

2014-02-20 Thread Richard Walker
Just been on Radio Leeds Dave - no chance of signing him, Hughes wants him back
and just wants him to experience playing in the Elland Riad cauldron. Kenny
injured.

We've also signed a young Irish striker.

2014-02-21 Thread Phill Shields
I agree wit Richard, no chance of this being permanent. Think he cost Stoke
£3.5m which is an obstacle enough for us and I doubt they would want to sell
anyway.

Still a good signing. Seen him a few times this year and he his a big lad, good
presence in the area and great reflexes.

Of course this should have been done when the extent of Ashdown's injury was
known. Kenny is taking the p*ss. Cost us points recently at Wednesday, home to
Leicester & Ipswich. What makes it worse is when he drops a bollock (eg Yeovil)
and starts laughing?

He is a bad egg and we need to get rid.

MOT (without Kenny)

We won't attract better keepers than Kenny permanently. Good keeper and he's
not the only one to have cost us points. The 10 in front of him are for the
most part shit.

Not this season he hasn't. He did well against Rochdale (no points involved) -
what other games are you talking about?

I accept there are players in front of him but he is the last line of defence

Re: [LU] Jack Butland

2014-02-21 Thread tim . whelan
Kenny was one of only two players to emerge from the Rochdale debacle with any
credit, the other being Byram. He made a couple of good saves in that game
which prevented the scoreline from being even more of an embarrassment.

But I agree he's been a bit dodgy since then.

Brighton at home
Wednesday at home
Brum at home

God knows, 'keepers don't get praise for doing well. Mistakes get
highlighted, but fuck me, the defence in front of him have been piss
poor.

Didn't Kenny have one ridiculous game with like four world class saves?
Charlton?

Doesn't matter, seems Phill is decided.

I know Kenny has the weaknesses Phill's outlined, but I still think
he's better than the average Championship 'keeper.

Re: [LU] Jack Butland

2014-02-22 Thread Richard Walker
I'd agree Dave, I don't think Kenny is the main problem and certainly at the
start of the season he was one of our best players, however you're only as good
as your last game (or last few games) and I think Kenny has been poor. Maybe he
has been carrying an injury which might explain it but it also got me thinking
that maybe his inability to come out and catch a ball and control his area
might be a major factor as to why our defence seems to be under so much
pressure. Apparently this is Buckland's strength but on the flip side his
kicking is poor apparently.

Hoping for a win today for Steve Gillen.
