And of course, it depends on the distribution of points among the other teams. Last season we ended up with 3 teams breaking away and chasing 2 automatic spots, so by definition somebody had to finish 3rd with a relatively high points total. At the moment we have 2 teams breaking away, with none of those in the pack below showing much consistency, this midweek especially. If that continues (touch wood!) then we won't need that high a points total to secure 2nd place.
