I know the standard wheel spacing was determined by the width of two horses, so when the old rutted streets were starting to be used by anything different than the old chariot wheel base, it was a constant fight and would break wheels popping in and out of the ruts. So when you see that limousine, sports car, or diesel truck rolling down the highway, it's wheel spacing was designated by a couple horses asses. OK fine, I'll get back to work.
