Re: Max diameter stock capacity

2018-07-28 Thread Tim Krause
The 1200/1800 models will work if you make a small modification. Everything
else would require any where from minor to much more significant
modification/addition.

If you can find an old Wood Chuck model you could make even a larger diameter
than what you are asking for by changing the four corner pieces with longer
pieces of plain round cold rolled steel, but those machines are hard to find.

Re: E-bay Legacy's

2018-07-28 Thread 4 Jim Carpenter
Gear assortment lack on all these indicates my sell on craigslist.org - St.
Louis, Mo. offers so much more. Only missing a drive motor and axis. Still
waiting to hear if there is difference between the multiplier and the brand
new duplicator ? Also have three Woodchuck index's - 36 round - 36 flat
edge and a 40 ?

Max diameter stock capacity

2018-07-28 Thread thierry
Hello,

thank you for accepting me in this group.
I am new to this and planning to buy a machine.

I have a need to work on 11"1/4 diameter pieces.
I know the 1000, 1200, 1800 are stated as 11" diameter max, but Is there
there a chance I could still fit my pieces in those machines?

Thank you!

Hi Curt
We agree on one thing, that Legacy 2200 was great machine, I liked it for a
different reason to you though. I sold one of these machines three times, yes
the same machine to three different customers over a period of about 4 to 5
years.
Cheers

RE: New setup - no pictures

2018-07-28 Thread Bill Bulkeley
I’m no expert maybe $50 for the index plates and $200 for each of the .25
and,2x gears

And $1200 for the mill itself

Tim is the expert on legacy perhaps he will chime in with some prices for you
with mills is all about the extras i feel the more there are the more you can
ask for it
