Headstock coupling question

2017-11-26 Thread Joe G
Sorry to ask but I can’t find the answer. Some time back there was a
coupler discussed that would thread on my headstock 1”x8 and also clamp to
2 MT to allow precise alignment when positioning , say a 4 sided spindle
and by adjusting set screws allow that opportunity. Anyone have a link to
it or the plans to make one? Seems like it looked similar to two of the
stop collars used on the leadscrew. Thx

Re: Need LOM dogs and split nut

2017-11-04 Thread Joe G
I was playing with a design with the spiral but decided the spiral was too
fancy for a farm table. Also the "beads" below the spiral were too big so I
went with the plain taper. Sure wish I could score the old Legacy "design
kit"
I have trouble visualizing what a cutter looks like with partial or full
cutting depth.

Purchasing LOM dogs and split nut

2017-11-03 Thread Joe G
I have dusted off (literally) the old steel rail LOM and trying to turn
legs for tables. I only have 2 of the "dogs" that fit the headstock and
need at least 2 more because I am doing 4 of these in steps and have to
mount and remount the dogs.
Also, while seeking things. I will need a split nut for the linear screw
soon.
If any of you have or produce these. please contact me.
I see Legacy no longer supports my machine at all.

Thx
Joe
