Tim, sorry I didn't clarify myself when I mentioned starter motor I meant to
cannibalize the gears from the starter motor and then fab up linkage to a hand
crank. But I am really looking forward to your offer. What are you planning
to make the rotary table out of?

2015-12-30 Thread Tim Krause
When it comes to a rotary table, are you looking to be able to index and turn a
piece round?

We had a member that made a very nice one from car parts and custom machined
lasered parts. I think that was back in 2011 maybe. Try a search for "Dusty
Dave".

  Hello Ernesto and everyone.

I own a Legacy made turn table, And I dont think it would be all that hard to
make a homemade version. I would think a Lazy-Susan ballbaring set with some
kind of gearing would not be all that hard to make. Perhaps a simple hole
indexing system, (holes running around wooden face-plate/turn table.) would
work nicely? http://www.rockler.com/search/go?w=lazy%20susan%20hardware You
could add a gear to the edge if you like to make a lock or movement . The
Legacy's turn table is nothing fancy, Just make your table as compact as you
can, you do not want something that is so bulky that is sticks up to far above
the rails.

Ive got some idea's, perhaps I can make something to show and tell this
afternoon?

  More latter.
