Subject: [LegacyUG] Problem with event description in Family group record -
Version 6.0.0.110

Hello list,

In the above version when creating the Family Group record using the list
format for events, my event description using the maximum # of characters
allowed for entry is truncated; only part of the description shows or prints
and the description ends with a ~.
I don't see this corrected in the latest update. Does this work for anyone
else or in the latest update.

Kindest regards,
Beth G.

Re: [LegacyUG] Book-Descendant report problem with creating PDF or RTF format

2006-12-21 Thread Beth Gay
Thanks Cathy, Found the option to include child status, will report the
lack of inclusion in the comment section & hopefully footnotes will be
included in version 7.

Best holiday wishes,
Beth G.

Hi Beth Gay,

Where did you put the "not proven" for the children?
If in the Child Status, then you need to include Child Status in the
report options

See the Include Tab of the Report Options.

Comments in the Compiler information?
They don't appear to be included. I'm not sure whether this is by
design. Why not put in a bug report or suggestion re this?
A work around: The compiler information is printed as a one line
footer - if you've ticked the option to include. If you put your
comment in the Address section it prints.

Footnotes are not available at this time.

Oops! I figured out my problem on creating the reports. But still
would like the not proven, comments and footnotes; I do not like
endnotes.

Hello list,

I am still running version 6.0.0.110 deluxe. I attempted to create a
descendant report under the book menu in rtf or pdf format. Legacy
just goes on and on creating the report and never finishes. The
screen/printer report is only 12 pages and I did create a PDF report
from there with no problem.

Also in this research database, I have entered children as not
proven, which is not indicated in the report and also in the
compiler information I have comments which don't seem to be in the
report either. Have I missed an option?

Kindest regards,
Beth G.

Because of a bad storm in the US North West both Jim Terry, our Help

I will be handling the Support emails on my own for the next few days

power is restored.

Please be patient.

[LegacyUG] formatting of names, etc.

2006-12-21 Thread Pat Jones
Thanks Glen for the information and you are quite correct. I now
remember reading that somewhere but am a bit overwhelmed with
learning all the ins and outs of this program and the clean up of
datat so forgetting at least 1/2 of what I've read. Couldn't
find any help in either the help menu or the book either; must be
hidden in an obscure area that I hadn't thought to look under -
so much for indexes!

Re: [LegacyUG] How to Create a List of "Ancestors with no sources"

2006-12-21 Thread malkajef
Thanks. Very useful. Even though I am a long time careful genealogist, I
was surprised at the number of persons I found with no listed sources - even
though I had sources for them.

Suggestion: It might be a good idea to add this to the "Potential Problems"
options.
