Re: [LegacyUG] Adding B.C. and A.D. dates to a timeline
I set up a test case to see how it works. I named the person Test Test. I put the birthdate as 0030 B.C., baptism as 0010 B.C., death as 0060 and burial as 0061. A message came up guessing (wrongly) what I meant. I read the help screen, which says to remove the check. It worke perfectly, with the chronology looking correct, but worrying about being buried after a year. With the check removed it seems to understand what I meant. Re: [LegacyUG] Physical traits for individual
I created an event called "Personal". I got the idea after finding the WW 1 draft cards that had such information on them. If anybody has an idea that would work better I would be most happy to hear it. Re: [LegacyUG] Physical traits for individual
Beth, Under events is a Physical Description event. I place the traits in the description line. My description entry reads "tall, medium build, with blue eyes and brown hair". It then comes out as "He was described as tall, medium build, with blue eyes and brown hair on 17 Jun 1917." Make sure your description is worded to fit the sentence structure. [LegacyUG] Adding B.C. and A.D. dates to a timeline
Wayne's timeline update prompted a question. How does one go about using the "B.C." or "A.D." designations in creating a new timeline. I've checked the Help files and the List Archives, but can not figure it out. The option for entering "dates" in a timeline does not seem to allow for only a four digit year (three digit years being preceded by a zero) and the suffix. My entries continue to "default" to dd-mm-, which is exactly what I want for "normal" data entry, but not for the timeline. Any suggestions from the list?
