I have a relative(doesn't have a genealogy program) that wants to share info with me. I'm still using 6. Question can he download the free standard version and gedcom his info to me? Somehow he has a scanned copy of my descendent's report I mailed several members (great uncles and aunts) of the family 8 years ago. [LegacyUG] need a new computer
Please excuse the non genealogy issue and PLEASE email me personally with responses at [EMAIL PROTECTED] Last jan with the help of a Dell tech my computer crashed. Had the Geeks fix it but, I was never pleased with the outcome. So I'm in the market for a new computer and an external drive any suggestions?? I'm thinking of going back to HP. For some reason World Vital records and Mozilla are not compatible. They are or were trying to fix the problem. It works with IE. It works until you ask for more detail then this pops up more than the info I wanted Server Error: your request could not be completed We are sorry but your request has produced an error. Please try your request again. This error has been logged and reported to our development team. I called them up after receiving Server error too many times. She stated they are aware of the problem and suggested I use IE. How do i get my data from the backup file to the legacy program? If I take the backup(copy of all documents plus legacy files) off the computer i will not have my family files. Seems when I called phone support (a while back), they were to call me back. Call back was always when i was out. Is this the norm (call back)?? When you call for tech support you need it then not a few days later. I do genealogy when I have the time.
