[LegacyUG] Printing Pictures

2009-06-24 Thread Marilyn Streeter

I have many pictures entered/linked to the data in my Family database. When
I am showing a screen that has a picture or showing all the pictures in the
Picture Gallery for an individual I would like to be able on occasion print
the picture without tracing it back to the actual file.

I can flip/flop, rotate, change to grey scale etc but I am not able to print
the picture. Am I missing something or maybe it is not possible and I will
have to go to the actual file to print the picture?

Marilyn

[LegacyUG] Sources for Notes

2009-06-07 Thread Marilyn Streeter
I would like to enter a source for each piece of information I add into the
Notes section. I have found that if I add a piece of information taken
from a source and apply the source and then when I add another piece of
information from another source and apply the source to that piece of info,
it doesn't show up for each individual piece of information but a mass of
numbers at the end. Is it possible to have the source numbers show
throughout the notes instead of at the end?

I also would like to add the date I entered a piece of info especially under
Research. Right now I do it manually. Is there a way that it can be done
automatically?

Thanks

Marilyn

RE: [LegacyUG] Use of Correct Given Name in reports

2008-08-15 Thread Marilyn Streeter
Thank you all for the assistance. I have been using the double quotes but
only for instances such as Sarah Margaret "Marg" Smith. When I use it for
actually using the second given name, such as George Roland "Roland" Smith,
it does pick up the second name but I really don't like the looks of the
repeating of the second name on print outs.

However if this is the only option for this I guess I will use it.

Thanks

Marilyn

If you use quotes instead of capitals you can have the preferred name in
reports. So Alpha Beta "Beta" Jones, or Albert "Bert" Smith will show as
Beta and Bert.

[LegacyUG] Use of Correct Given Name in reports

2008-08-15 Thread Marilyn Streeter

Some of the people I have in my database use their second given name instead
of their first given name. I have shown that the second name was the one
they used by putting the second name in capitals. However my problem arises
when printing out reports is that the first given name is always used. For
instance Shawn DAVID Smith shows me that David is the given name he uses but
in a register report I get the sentence, Shawn was born Oct 21, 1910.

I am one of these people who uses my second name.

Is there a way to correct this besides editing the report to state the used
given name properly?

Thank you

Marilyn

[LegacyUG] Picture Scrapbook

2008-07-15 Thread Marilyn Streeter

Using the latest version of Legacy deluxe edition. I have one master
database which contains all the information and pictures I have for all the
lines I am researching. I would like to print out all the pictures I have
in the database for one ancestral line including all their descendants.

I have tried everything but with no success. Is this possible and if so
how?

Thanks

Marilyn
