[LegacyUG] Copying info from spreadsheet to Legacy

2007-01-05 Thread Carolyn Simonton

Hello listers,
Happy New Year to you all!A while back I could list a family from a
census in a speadsheet and copy and paste it into Legacy and it would
list it neatly in columns as I had entered it in the spreadsheet. Now I
notice that when I copy and paste it is a continuous line. I have
changed nothing (to my knowledge) so what's happening? Below is an
example of before and after:

BEFORE:
Robert Head W M Nov1868 31 M TX TN TN
Birdie Wife W F Mar 1874 26 M KS OH OH
NOW:
Robert Head W M Nov 1868 31 M TX TN TN Birdie Wife W F Mar 1874 26 M KS
OH OH

Any one have any clues as to why it has changed.
Am using Deluxe6.
TIA,
Carolyn

Carolyn,

Is it possible that your spreadsheet software has been updated? Although why
this should have that effect I don't know.
I ask because I have just copied/pasted a spreadsheet from Open Office into
notes and it seemed to work OK.
I cannot be absolutely certain as the sheet was not designed to fit the note
page but a new line was started for each entry and although the rows took more
than one line on the note page the spacings seemed to be correct.
