[LegacyUG] Events without Sources
Thanks to those who replied. I have followed the suggestion using a small focus group but I am getting runtime error 9 whenever I try to preview the list I create. I have followed the suggestions on the legacy website to no avail. Any other ideas welcome. [LegacyUG] Events without Sources
Hi, Is it possible to tag records that have no source attached to them so that I can see how big a job I have to do to get everything sourced. Yes, I know I should have done it at the time when I put the info in, but I didn't understand the need when I first started. Re: [LegacyUG] Events without Sources
Hi Linda, Are you sure you're ready for this? I did it and sure didn't like what I found! For all missing sources: SEARCH MISSING SOURCES Check the 2nd box Anything (meaning that one or more items do not have a source Click Create List This will report everything without a source including all Chrs. If your database is like mine, I have many missing christenings. To skip the missing Chrs, go back and remove the 2nd box and click the following: Birth Date and Place Death Date and Place Marriage Date and Place Click Create List Now the fun begins! linda mason wrote Is it possible to tag records that have no source attached to them so that I can see how big a job I have to do to get everything sourced. From the Search menu choose Find. Select the Missing Sources tab and check Individual Events. Click on Create List (but make sure Clear list before this search is also checked.) All that assumes you are using version 7. If you aren't, I don't think there is a quick way. -- Jenny M Benson Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyfamilytree.com/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp To unsubscribe: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/LegacyLists.asp
