Mary Beth,

You're right that an obituary is not an event. A while back we changed the
name of the Events section to Facts/Events. If you add these types of facts
in this section, then it becomes immediately obvious if you have an
obituary, for instance. Same thing with census records. Some hesitate to add
"census" to the event list because it is a source. However, if you do add
census as an event/fact, then when looking at one's chronology view, it also
becomes immediately apparent if you have located a person in the census. On
the contrary, if you only list "residence" as the event instead of "census",
then you're not immediately certain if you've located that person in the
census.

That was very interesting.  Since an obituary is a source and not an event,
I had never thought of adding it to the individual events.  I'm beginning to
think of other items that might be useful there also. . .
