 Phil,
Be assured, it is not a matter that some Legacy users don't have a use
for a built in witness event. This is an option that many of us have
been "begging" for for a long time. For various reasons, the Legacy
folks have yet to give us this option. They keep assuring us that it
 is
a priority for them, but apparently not as much a priority as it is to
 a
lot of us who use Legacy.

Phil, we do have a need for this type of event! It's a really cool
feature and has been asked for on this list lots of times.

One problem, however, is that the witness information does not export
neatly via gedcom. So, for those of us who export to create our web
sites, we would lose this anyway.

Hi Philip,
Legacy currently doesn't have the equivalent of the TMG witness.

It's something on the wish list.
Having never had it, I don't miss it but maybe I'll find a use for it
when it is added.

In Legacy to record the information, you need to set up an Event and
then copy that Event using the Event copy button to each relevant
person.
