[LegacyUG] Password to install update

2009-07-11 Thread Roy and Ila East
I just tried to download the update, and when I entered my password, it
would not "take" capitalization. Its not my keyboard because as you can see
I can CAPITALIZE just fine with it.

After I input the password, and clicked next the only thing that happened
was the password was highlighted in blue. I am assuming this is to tell me
that it is incorrect, but I haven't been able to put the correct one in
because it will accept capitalization.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Ila East

The password required is not one that you select but the password
that is supplied and required by Legacy itself. in the case of the
current version of legacy the password is legacy7...all lower case(as
have been all legacy passwords.). The passwords are case sensitive so
any capitalization will fail.

I realized that, but I was trying to use a password I thought was supplied
by Legacy. It wasn't until I was closing the email message out, that I
realized it was from another website. Duh!!!

Talk about someone with egg on their face. Thanks for putting me on the
right track.

Re: [LegacyUG] Password to install update

2009-07-11 Thread Gary Templeman
If you are installing it AS an update (such as when you go to the home page
on your current installation and select "Download and install now" you
should not need to enter any password. There is no need to uninstall the
existing program first and reinstall the new version fresh. If you are
getting a password prompt you are doing it the hard way.

I went to the Legacy tab and downloaded and installed from there, but it
still asked for a password. Anyway, my error was discovered and I used the
correct password and it installed.
