Thank you for your generous offer, Bob. Let me try the other suggestions of using the help menu first. I always shy away from the help menu for the same reason: I would rather have a hard copy open beside my computer. But I'll give it a shot again. Re: [LegacyUG] Hard copy manual
A4 and 4 holes would not work for U.S. customers. I suggest if there might be a loose-leaf format, that it be offered in 8.5 x 11 with three holes, _or_ A4 with four holes, depending on the wishes of the customer. It is possible/probable that such issues are what kept the manuals in bound format in the past. Perhaps a bound manual, along with a PDF version, so the customer could print their own looseleaf variation. I printed a color, double-sided version of the manual for 6.0 and placed it in a three-ring binder. It's much more convenient than a glue-bound book. I downloaded and printed out the manual on 8.5x11 paper to insert in a 3-ring binder along with the training discs and whatever notes I want to put there. The printout used 200 sheets of paper when printed on both sides of the paper. I'd guess the cost, excluding the cost of the notebook was probably around $2.00. Donna, Meanwhile you may well find it much easier to use the help pages. Those on each screen are context help (ie relate to that screen ). Try also using HelpSearch and put in the terms for which you are looking. In any event the help pages are updated with each update whereas the hard copy obviously isn't. Re: [LegacyUG] Hard copy manual
From memory there was a cost reason Legacy decided not to go this way with version 6. I know there was discussion about it. Those who prefer it can buy the PDF manual rather than the hard copy (it's cheaper anyway) and print it themselves and place in a binder. Again, from memory, there were people doing this when Legacy 6 was released. I think others have chopped off the binding and punched holes. So think about the package you want when you place your order. But do note that as Ron said, the HELP files are more up to date and extensive than the Manual. We could then put the manual in a binder and insert our own note pages. This would, I should think, also be cheaper for Legacy. There was a time, and I'm dating myself here, when all user's manuals from developers where provided in this fashion.
