Valerie,

It is not really possible to answer your question without knowing
*exactly* what criteria you wish to select by. Please let us know
otherwise any help would be strictly limited.

Tagging: On Family View to tag one person click one of the little boxes
in the panel above the name. To tag more than one right click on one of
the boxes and make your selection from the options available.

I am trying to create a gedcom file from some of the entries in my
CULLODEN file to export to my IndiaCULLODEN file.

I have read the help file on tagging BUT I can not find where the tags

 are ?

Also is this the best way to go about selecting my records for this
 purpose.

Simple instructions would be very much appreciated. Pretend I am 2
years old OH NO that is probably not a good idea as a 2 year old could

 probably work it out.

 OK I am 70 and stupid ?

Click on *Options* in the top row of icons

Click on *Customize* in the drop down box

Click on the *General* tab

In the lower left corner under Tagging Options, click on* *the* Enable
tagging options *box*

*Click on* Save

*Bingo - there they are on the Family screen. Have fun.

RE: [LegacyUG] Tagging individuals

2007-11-18 Thread Valerie Garton
At last I have found the tagging buttons thanks to Jennifer, Hugh and
Ron.

I must say the help screen does not help in that it does not mention
that you have to turn this function on. What a pity I waisted so much
time printing out the help screens and searching my computer for the tag
buttons. I was beginning to think I had gone mad.

This will also be the reason why Rhonda was having such a problem as
neither of us could find the tagging buttons.
