Can someone please tell me how to print books on both sides of the page
(duplex printing)? After setting up what I want to print and checking the
duplex box in the print page, I still get printing on only one side of the
page. Thanks.

Re: [LegacyUG] Duplex Printing for Books

2007-09-09 Thread TH
Ron, How do I set Legacy to duplex print in the Publishing Center. I am in
the Publishing Center, have chosen the chapters to print, clicked on Printer
Setup, then Page Setup, then Properties, then OK. When I print, the printing
is only on one side of the page. I've printed in Duplex for Legacy reports,
but is there some special way to get duplex printing in the Pubishing
Center?

Thanks

Re: [LegacyUG] Duplex Printing for Books

2007-09-09 Thread Robert Carneal USA
A thought: Are you sure have the *latest* driver for your printer? That
might make a difference.(I check for new printer drivers every week.)

If it is not working, remember, duplex printing stresses memory on both
your computer and printer. Try an experiment.

Print pages 1 & 2 (or 3 & 4, whatever should appear on both sides), and
see if it works. If it does, it is working. If I send a 1,000 page
document to my printer with duplex turned on Legacy and the printer
duplex turned on, nope, it won't print on both sides. If I send pages
1-250 with duplex printing, it works fine. Later I send 251-500, later
501-750, and finally, the rest of them, pages 751-1000. A little more
trouble, but it is working.

Will this help?

My printer was also set to duplex but for the publication centre it doesn't
print duplex - as the original poster stated.

What you need to do is go to the Publication Centre, select the OPTIONS Tab,
then select PAGE SETUP button, then specify duplex settings. This then prints
in duplex on my printer.

If not you can print the odd

pages then turn the stack over and print the even pages on the back of the

Not all printers have that option (e.g., mine) -- however it will print
