There are two ways to transfer a file to the iPad. First via USB cable, for which you will require iTunes. Second via Wi-Fi, for which you need a Wi-Fi connection and need to have Bonjour installed - this is installed as part of iTunes, so generally it is best to install iTunes whichever transfer method you use. Please see the Families Sync help section "Transferring Family Files" for details. [LegacyUG] Families ipad app
Hello again I am in the stages of using Family sync to transfer my legacy files to our ipad 2 I am wondering if I need to have itunes installed on my pc side of my imac (have it already on the mac side) to be able to use and transfer these files to my ipad. The search results act the same way as the Name List - the list is ordered according to which field is selected at the top, and it remembers your last selection. across to the surname field at the top of the search results, or click in the surname field, depending on whether you prefer to use the keyboard (Tab) or mouse (click).
