[LegacyUG] Irritating aggravation!

2013-04-22 Thread gcrull
I'm not sure my problem is with Legacy, my operating system, or
combination of the two! I'll try to explain my problem as best I can and
see if anyone has any ideas.

I'm using Legacy 7.5 Deluxe (checked and is current with all updates) on
a Win 7 Home Premium 32 bit computer. For some time now almost every time
I open a source document I have affixed to an individual in the "Picture
Gallery" located on the FAMILY tab this happens. Doesn't seem to make any
difference what type document (WORD, PDF, TIF) I have the same problem.

When I close the document and return to the main page my FONTS have
increased to very LARGE even though in the options I have min font size
set to 12 for screen fonts. Everything on the FAMILY page is 'run
together' overlapping as well. When I open the OPTIONS again everything
there is in super small font to the point as to be almost illegible.
Opening the INDEX tab and my customized column width settings are ignored
and the columns are close together.

Closing/exiting Legacy and reopening returns everything to normal,
unless/until I attempt to open a document again. This is all quite hard
to explain without 'show and tell' attachments, which are a NO-NO on the
list. Maybe someone would contact me off list where I could send some
screen shots which will go a long way in explaining my dilemma.

Thanks

Gary Crull

When you are in the Picture Gallery do you use the Zoom feature or
change the font size there?

RE: [LegacyUG] Windows 8 and Map Feature

2013-04-22 Thread Michael Winters
I stand corrected. I didn't even look over to that side of the page. Thank you.

However, this mapping feature acts differently on my Vista PC than on my
Windows 8 PC. On the Vista PC I get the message that the map is not finished
downloading. How long do I need to wait? How large of a file is downloading? I
have a limit on this.

Michael,

Please check again. Go to the Legacy Home Tab on the left of the tool bar, and
the Options button is on the to right, clicking that gives "options" as one
choice amongst others, and clicking that "option" should give you choices as to
when Legacy can open the internet.

I have gone into this detail because if the choices are not there you will need
to uninstall and reinstall Legacy.
