Re: [LegacyUG] Help with a report, please

Sorry if I mislead you, I know how to manually add it to the reports but I
was hoping that Legacy seeing as how it stores the package would have a way
of printing the package.

Actually its quite simple to accomplish what you want. Create your PDF report
in Legacy then use a free, open source program called PDFsam Basic (stands for
PDF split and merge) to append your pdf files to your Legacy report. I use
this program often and have never had a problem. You can download it at
https://pdfsam.org/downloads/. Just get the Basic, its all you'll need.

Nope, u cannot do that. A PDF file cannot be printed in any reports.

Copy the text from the PDF file and paste it into Notes or Stories for the
individual. Both of those print.

[LegacyUG] Help with a report, please

2018-08-22 Thread Ian Macaulay
I have captured text and PDF documents pertaining to an individual and they
are stored under media/document via the add media bit in the software.

I now want this file in its entirety to be produced when I run a report.

In this case I want to run an individual report as a PDF and have the three
documents, one of which is about 20 pages, as part of the report?

Is this a valid expectation or do I have to cobble the whole thing to get
it done?

Known providers for free email accounts whose emails do not require

On the re-sizing problem:I too have found it to be a problem.
I tried using the touch pad (thinking it might be the mouse as I do have a
problem with the right click not working sometimes), but that did not help
I needed smaller than full screen as I have (on that monitor) 4 items (Notepad,
Excell, Word and Legacy)On the 2nd monitor I also have 4 different programs
going (2 different internet windows, 2 different directories).
To get it close to the size I want I find that once I get the double arrow if I
move the mouse rapidly and release it will catch up to where I released it.The
only time I have to do that again, is if I close Legacy and reopen it, I have
to re-size it.
So basically, click & hold - move rapidly & release.

It's strange that we all seem to have different methods to get around
this very irritating  problem.  The only way I can resize Legacy
windows is to drag the pointer/arrow and release the mouse button
quickly (before the window gets there).  If I hold the mouse button
down until Legacy's window catches up it will revert to the original
position.  However, dragging the mouse pointer to the new position
and releasing the button prematurely works every time.

I suspect that the good results some have had doing it in small
increments is due to them unintentionally releasing the mouse button
sooner.
