My 2 cents:

EVENT sounds like the way to go.

There could be more than one Cenotaph, for example one in a family plot and one
or more included in a veterans memorial.

Another similar situation might be entering cenotaphs for those lost in the
sinking of ship like the Titanic.

Quick question -- how best to handle recording a cenotaph? Specifically, the

history. But, she is memorialized on a family gravestone at the grave site of
her husband in a local cemetery.

How best to record this in Legacy?

Re: [LegacyUG] Blurry fonts

2019-11-13 Thread Cathy Pinner

Gwen,

It's a Windows issue and I need to do this for a number of different
programs I use.

When you right click and look at Properties for the program shortcut.
Go to the Compatibility tab
Click the Change high DPI settings button
Then check Override high DPI scaling behaviour and leave scaling
performed by Application

Then the fonts in Legacy will be sharp.
If you have Legacy pinned to the Taskbar you right click the icon and
then right click on the Legacy Genealogy Software to access Properties.

Hello everyone this is such a great group and full of ideas. Thank you
for that

Would someone be able to advise me how to change the fonts on my
Legacy screens from appearing blurry.  I have checked customise and
then fonts and stretch fonts while resizing and this is ticked.   I
find this is the only program on windows 10 that appears with blurry
fonts?

I would appreciate any guidance with this
Many thank
Gwen

Re: [LegacyUG] Cenotaph

2019-11-13 Thread Shirley Crampton
I have a relative who was Lost in Action over the North Atlantic. I used
"Memorial" for the memorial to him on the RAF Runnymede Memorial and I used
"Memorial Tombstone" for the memorial on his parents' tombstone. I
recorded both of these as events. I recorded his burial as North Atlantic
off of Norway.
