[LegacyUG] TMG direct import cancelled?
Several of us would appreciate a response to the following inquiry. We'd be happy to have you as a tester when it's available, if you'd like to volunteer. Thanks for your interest in Legacy! Watch the Document Export Part 1 and Part 2 videos on the Clooz website at least once and perhaps several times. 2. Make a copy of your current Legacy database and name it CloozTest or whatever. 3. Enter several census records, birth certificates, etc. into Clooz. 4. Link your Legacy CloozTest database to Clooz and copy the new Clooz records to Legacy. 5. Review the modified or new records in Legacy and decide for yourself whether working directly in Legacy or through Clooz is best for you. I have been going through a somewhat similar situation. I am a long time user of The Master Genealogist (TMG) which was discontinued by the publisher in July 2014. Because of that, my plan is to make a gradual migration on another program. In September 2014, Legacy said they would be improving their import from TMG but appears that plan may have been dropped. Two other programs have made several updates to their import process in the meantime. I'm now considering a move to one of those programs and hope Clooz adds migration to and from those programs to Clooz.
