Ron,

Changing married settings method does not give me the results desired either
this gives me Mary married [underlined space for date] in [underlined
space for location but no underlined space for name.

Lincoln,

Following my last post, my attention has been drawn to the Marriage Settings
at OptionsCustomiseViewEdit Default Marriage Wording. If you change the
wording for an unknown spouse to read married I think you will find it
will resolve your problem. I had forgotten about that setting - and it's not
where I would expect to find it either!

Thank you, Lincoln. I had thought that would probably be the outcome.
Going off memory, I am pretty sure that the instance of no
underlining in the instance which you mention has always been the
case. I don't use the underlines myself, but even if I did, I doubt I
would want it in the sentence/position you quote. In others words I
would be happy with the simple statement Joe Bloggs married.

I take it that for the individual record of the spouse the underlines
are present? If not I will take a look at it tomorrow (UK time!)

Lincoln,

I thought that would be why you wanted this, it is now morning and I have
had a good look at the problem.

I agree that it does not read well and I have drawn Legacy's attention to
this, suggesting that the word someone is superfluous in any event. I also
noticed another inclusion of the word unknown which I thought had been
corrected, and have drawn attention to this also.

As a temporary measure may I suggest that you set the couple as unmarried
and then the offending line will read: X had a child with ___
___. You may also need to uncheck the printing of married status if
checked. Not ideal, but may enable you to get your report out.

2010-05-29 Thread Lincoln Mulkey
Ron,

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. You are correct.the missing
spouse's blank lines I am looking for are at the end of the statement. I
submitted a fix to Legacy to correct the order in which the blanks are
displayed and the wording.. The desired statement should then read:
Mary married _ _ on _-_-_ in _, _, _.

Thanks for your help.

Lincoln,

If you mean it gives:
Sarah Ann married _ _ _ in __, __,

__.

Compared with:

Ellen married Mr Thomas Lowe {P36}13 on 1 Dec 1883 in Eccles,

Lancashire, England.

then I would suggest that the last two underlines are for the name, although
I would agree that it is not clear, and the order is not that shown when the
details are available. I cannot really see much effort being put into
changing this, but there is nothing to stop you suggesting it as a
bug/enhancement.
