Ron,
I did not want to do it but as a last resort I finally did a clean uninstall of
Legacy
and reinstalled it. After reloading my database, I tried the detailed search
all different
ways and it worked like it should. I guess I will never know what caused the
problem in the
first place.

I have tried Find-A-Grave, Military and Cremated. Using just the Event Name
gets results,
but when using Description or Place or Dates or Notes, I cannot get any results.

I have did a File Maintenance, Tried an earlier backup file and reinstalled
Legacy. The results are still the same.

Hello Jenny, Thanks for responding.
Yes, I can get a result from the Event Name but not the Events Notes.

I have an event called Find-A-Grave and a Description where I put the memorial#.
Then in Notes I add who the memorial was created by and the date the memorial
was created.

I have 2942 memorials of persons in my database.

[LegacyUG] Using Search

 Hello List,

I am trying to compile a list of people in my database that has a Find-A-Grave
source and Created by: in the Notes. I did Search>Detailed Search> Look for
Whom<> Individual> Where to Look<> Event Name> How to Look <> Contains> What to
Look For<> Find-A-Grave.

Second Condition> and<> Where to Look<> Events Notes> How to Look<> Contains>
What to Look For<> Created by:

I have tried several times and gets this error message.

NO RECORDS WERE FOUND THAT MATCH THE SEARCH CRITERIA.

What am I doing wrong?

[LegacyUG] Question about the red color in the edit screen

2012-10-22 Thread Lloyd L. Hite

  Hello List,
Since I reinstall Legacy on a new computer, I have noticed that in
the name list>edit screen that some death dates & places are colored
red while others are colored black. They all have death notes. The
same applies to the burial date & place.

I always thought that the date & place were colored red only if
there was a note, address or picture. Can someone please explain it to me?

  I am using Legacy 7.5.0.208.

[LegacyUG] Adding source to clipboard

I seems to remember in previous versions of Legacy that when a
source was added to the clipboard, it stayed there until another
source was added. I added a source to cb yesterday and this morning
I went to add the source to another entry in my data and got an
error message: Run-Time Error '5' Invaled Procedure Call or
Augument. When I clicked on OK, Legacy shut down.

I have Legacy Deluxe, version 7.5.0.154.
Do I need to add the source to clipboard every time the computer
is shut down and then restarted?
