How do I get Marriage Events and Pictures to show on a Family Group Report?

 

What option am I missing?

Hi Cathy,

Thank you for responding.  Yes, I make sure the checkbox is actually checked.   
Yesterday before messaging the list I created a hashtag "test".  When I did 
that the other two hashtags appeared again in the list.  If I delete the "test" 
hashtag then ALL of the hashtags disappear.  After playing around a little it 
looks like when I delete one hashtag they all disappear.  When a create a new 
hashtag all of the undeleted hashtags reappear.

When you select Hashtags, make sure you check the box and don't just highlight 
the line. Also be patient and don't click twice if the check in the checkbox 
doesn't immediately show. The second click removes the check. These are two 
issues others have had when beginning to add hashtags.

RE the Bookmarks, are you referring to the 3 quick bookmarks at the bottom of 
the screen? They should be sticking unless you crash out of Legacy after 
setting them and before closing out normally. Check your Recent File list in 
Legacy to check you have been opening the same file each time you use Legacy.
The Recent File List is found by clicking the L top left corner of the Legacy 
screen if the L is larger than the title bar. If it isn't, you'll see a System 
Ribbon tab and it's on that instead. It depends on the Design Style you are 
using.

[LegacyUG] Hashtags and Bookmarks

I have noticed that my Hashtags and Bookmarks don't stay.  

 

I have just started using Hashtags and have created two.  I don't know how
long after I noticed that the couple that I assigned one of the hashtag too,
their hashtag was greyed out, not blue, and when I clicked on the hashtag
icon in the family view there were no available hashtags to use.  So I
created another one and after I did the two that I created prior then showed
up.  This has happened now several times..every time I go to look for
the families that share those two hashtags their hashtags are greyed out.
Is there an option somewhere I need to turn on somewhere?

 

And for the last few months my bookmarks don't stay.

 

I am using the lastest version of Legacy 9 and windows 7.

I have tried the reset button and that sets it back to the default 
settings….and when I run the report that way it is fine, but then I go back 
and the set the report options the way I would like it print and again I have 
overlapping print.  What else do I  need to do?

Section 8.2 only controls numbers after names when viewing your data on the
screen.

There are report settings which control numbers included in the reports.
Check the Individual Report > Report Options > include Tab.
Since you are seeing 8 digit numbers I suspect that you have Find A Grave
numbers turned on.

I did define the Event Sentence Definitions, and at the bottom of the Edit 
Event screen the sentence reads as I want it to read but when I create a Family 
Group Sheet/Individual Record or Share that Event it reads in the list style.

When you create your own custom events, you also have to define the Event 
Sentence Definitions yourself. Otherwise, they are just list style.

Check this setting in each Report you use.
  Open the Report options and then click the Report Options button
  Go to the Format tab and click the Event Narrative Format. It
sounds as if it is set on List.

If not, you actually have more than one Event and they have differnet
Event Definitions.
Check at View - Master Lists - Event Definition.

[LegacyUG] Created Events

I have created an Event and Even sentences to read the way I would like.
When I am in the individuals screen and double click on that event, at the
bottom of the Edit Event screen it reads just the way I intended but when I
create a Family Group Record it reads with the name of the event and a colon
and only the data I typed in the different fields, not the sentences I
created.  

 

Also when I share the Event it looks just like it does on the Family Group
Record.

 

Am I doing something wrong/missing something?
