Re: [LegacyUG] AncestryDNA results
Yes. Future-proofing myself against loss. Ancestry gives no guarantees. Ensuring my descendant have access to the data (whatever it holds). Re: [LegacyUG] AncestryDNA results
After reading all the comments about this subject I've decided to do as Cathy suggested. I downloaded my Raw DNA Data from Ancestry and I've created an Event called DNA and linked it to my downloaded text file. I'm happy with that. Re: [LegacyUG] AncestryDNA results
Thanks Cathy Well, that explains that! Good idea to create an event. I'll even go and watch a few webinars again. Re: [LegacyUG] AncestryDNA results
Thanks Cathy Have watched a few webinars but I don't see any that actually show how to enter the data into Legacy. There doesn't seem to be any appropriate matching Available Tests In the dropdown menu in the DNA Records dialogue box. If there is, which one do I choose and what data from my AncestryDNA results do I enter? [LegacyUG] How do I use this User Group?
I now know how to post but I don't know how to join a thread. I had to search all over the Legacy site looking for how to even do this. I wasn't even sure how to register. There are no clear steps - that I could find, detailing how this User Group works. How about a dedicated little corner with step-by-step instructions on how to join, how to post and how to continue with a thread. It's all OK for those who are constantly engaging on the site but I might not participate for some time and then I will likely forget the procedure.
