Re: [LegacyUG] Adding sources
Valerie, You use the Source Clipboard. If the source applies to all information entered for a person, you use the 3 line button. If not you have to put the cursor into each field and then click the 1 line Source clipboard button. Dennis, Also, I noted your reference to LTools and have seen it mentioned a few times. What can LTools actually do for me? Thanks again. From: Dennis M. You can then go in and edit that source making it whatever you want. For instance, I have a Census source for 1920, Warren Co., NJ. I want to add a source for 1920, Sussex Co., NJ. I can just copy the Warren Co. source and than edit to Sussex Co. Can this be done in Legacy? Hope I made myself clear on what I'm looking for. Thanks, Dennis You can accomplish this by editing the Master Source for Census source for 1920, Warren Co., NJ. When you try to save your changes, Legacy will ask you if you want to overlay the original source *OR* create a new source. Just choose the latter. -- Dennis Kowallek (LTools) http://zippersoftware.com/ltools http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ltools Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyusers.com/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergr...@legacyfamilytree.com/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp To unsubscribe: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/LegacyLists.asp Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyusers.com/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergr...@legacyfamilytree.com/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp To unsubscribe: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/LegacyLists.asp
Re: [LegacyUG] Adding Sources
Dennis, Probably not in the same way as with TMG, but there is the Source Clipboard which allows the same Master Source to be used for multiple events and for the Source Detail to be amended. Comprehensive details on its use are in the Help Files.
