Re: [LegacyUG] Adding children's birth places to family view
I believe the way the children list functions now with pop up list of the details is the best combination and satisfies the issue without having to display each child separately. Re: [LegacyUG] Adding children's birth places to family view
I have many families with 10+ children. Incorporating birthplaces on the family view would make it virtually impossible to view all the children at once (something I now do by splitting them into 2 or 3 columns). I vote for knowing who the children are, with simple options such as have been mentioned to see where and when they were born. RE: [LegacyUG] Adding children's birth places to family view
Monique, I’m with you on this one. I do use the pop-up boxes however, I would like to see an option to have the children displayed that way. If you right click on a child in family view and go to ‘Children’s settings’ you will see a list of the children showing ‘Name’, ‘Birth Date’, and ‘’Location’ – pretty much what I would like to see in Family view. I have made a suggestion to Legacy to include this display as an option - the coding is already done. However, I get the same reply as you have. < Children list.>> Or right click somewhere on a child in the family view and look at Childrens Settings. You see birth dates and places, and put them in order if they are not. Would work. Options to limit # of generations to see all the children next to each other, and Options to add birth place to columns. Just a bit more work. --Paula From: Randy Clark To: LegacyUserGroup@LegacyUsers.com Sent: Sat, March 3, 2012 3:24:08 PM Subject: Re: [LegacyUG] Adding children's birth places to family view Why not use descendant view?
