Valerie, You use the Source Clipboard. If the source applies to all information entered for a person, you use the 3 line button. If not you have to put the cursor into each field and then click the 1 line Source clipboard button. When you try to save your changes, Legacy will ask you if you want to overlay the original source *OR* create a new source. Thanks Dennis. Guess I didn't make myself clear. I am trying to update source docs from basic to the extended format. Hey Dennis! No apology needed. I was curious because I used to use Generations and I thought TMG was some iteration of that. It was a good program that just disappeared.
