I did think of that before, but then I expected my Vipre Antivirus program to tell me that it has found a bad e-mail, or that it has replaced suspected content with a message saying so. However, prompted by your note, I looked further. Sure enough, the Vipre history log does list the messages that had appeared with blank content! These e-mails are listed as Quarantined, and the risk is shown as Blocked URL. Inspection of the details further shows that the offending URL is http: //www. jgen. ws/ jlog/. (spaces inserted by me.)
This URL is the same domain as JLB's e-mail address. I have no idea why Vipre decided to block it. Further, I am not happy that Vipre removed the entire message body, rather than just replacing the URL with a message. I'll have to look to see if there is a setting that I can tweak. What anti-virus software are you using? Could it be that? -----Original Message----- From: Ward Walker Sent: Saturday, January 05, 2013 2:22 PM To: LegacyUserGroup@LegacyUsers.com Subject: [LegacyUG] Blank e-mails The LUG e-mails from JLB (and some, but not all, of the replies to those e-mails) are showing up with blank message bodies in my e-mail client. Even the Legacy footer is missing. (See below.) If I go to web mail or iPhone, the same messages are not blank. My client is Windows Live Mail on Windows 7. Is anyone else experiencing this?
