Re: [LegacyUG] Building Web Site
Jim/Brian, This last thing did the trick. I now have the web page without all those extended sources. I'll keep this fix for future reference. Re: [LegacyUG] Building Web Site
Dennis, Try these steps: 1. With Legacy closed, please browse into the Legacy folder on your hard drive and delete the WebPage.USR file and also the Legacy.exe program file. 2. Next, go to http://www.legacyfamilytree.com/DownloadUpdate.asp and run the update. This will replace the deleted Legacy.exe file. 3. Open Legacy and start the Web Page Creation tool. 4. Reselect your opens for the Individual style web and create your wepages. 5. Check the source citations. They should be on their own page. Brian, Just commented to Jim that I tried the reset option but the files still build. I remember this was a problem and agree it was fixed. As I said I built a site last Oct. using the same method but now I backed to having this file build. Dennis On 11/16/2012 12:55 PM, Brian/Support wrote: > Further to my earlier message. Re: [LegacyUG] Building Web Site
Jim, Tried what you suggested. It still didn't correct this file glut. The i0 file was 15KB. By the time it built the last file, i1251, that file size was 4114KB. Re: [LegacyUG] Building Web Site
Further to my earlier message. I have checked our problem reporting system. There was a problem of duplicated sources in Individual style web pages but that was fixed in 2009. Re: [LegacyUG] Building Web Site
I have tested the web page creation and when I selected sources on a separate page there was only one sources.htm file created in the web page files. That sources.htm file listed all the sources for the people in the file. There were no source lists on the individual's web pages. I can only reiterate Jim's comment that you use the reset button to set your web page options to the defaults then reset your options. re: [LegacyUG] Building Web Site
Dennis, Open the Web Page Creation tool and click the Reset button in the lower right. Next, reselect your webpage options and then recreate your Individual web. This may resolve the source citations problem.
