[LegacyUG] File Naming Conventions

2014-06-11 Thread Charles Apple
I need to combine four different family files into one family file
representing the lines for both husband and wife. Does anyone know if it
will potentially present a problem if the one single family file is named
after both spouses surname with a hyphen in the middle i.e., Jones-Smith.

I cannot find anything in the help files that indicates that the hyphen is
an illegal character.

There's no problem with using hyphens.
If it's legal in Windows, it's OK in Legacy.

This is something controlled by Windows which is why it's probably not
in the Help file.
