Got it solved. Just had to disable the antivirus while installing. Thanks. [LegacyUG] Installation problem
The original message to the list is in the attachment. This action is required because of the DMARC Reject/Quarantine Policy imposed by some email providers. Users who want to send messages without conversion to attachments should use a different email address for their subscription. Known providers for free email accounts whose emails do not require this conversion include gmail.com and hotmail.com. Many other email providers will also work but you will have to give them a try.--- Begin Message --- I downloaded by new Legacy software. When I tried to install it, I received the message that 1 item was neutralized. It was thought to be a virus, GLBEBA6.tmp. Re: [LegacyUG] Installation Problem
Did you install the program after you downloaded the file? It's not clear from what you've said. Also, did you install it in the default location, or did you direct it to install someplace else? I just purchase Legacy 8 and when I attempt to open, the error message is "Error Opening Message File, Active X component can't create object". Any help on resolving this would be appreciated. I've had this in the past :-) Best way to get around/over it is to go to the website and download the whole, new package. All 49.2 MB of it! And run the installation again. I try to make a point of retaining the packages corresponding to all the major releases. Then I can revert if necessary. At the moment, I have Legacy7Setup_7.0.0.109 and Legacy7Setup_7.4.0.6 WARNING: BEFORE DOWNLOADING 7.4 MAKE A COPY OF YOUR FAMILY FILES. YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO GO BACK TO 7.0.0.109 UNLESS YOU DO. -- Regards, Mike Fry Johannesburg Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyusers.com/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergr...@legacyfamilytree.com/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp To unsubscribe: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/LegacyLists.asp
