Re: [LegacyUG] Legacy Locking up after Update
Thanks for checking. I've rebooted several times, turned off McAfee, downloaded the update vs install from web. Nothing fixed it for me. Have sent an emal to support. RE: [LegacyUG] Legacy Locking up after Update
Just tried the Potential problems and all works fine for me. I was going through some of the Legacy Family Search videos and cleaning up my data, but encountered some lockups. Can anyone confirm or is it just me? Run the Tools - Potential Problems. This will run to 100% complete, but then lock up. Legacy will not respond, but takes between 45 -50% of CPU. If I stop Legacy and come back in, and choose to look at the existing list (not create a new one) it locks up there too. Also, if I pick the 3D option in the bing maps (Master Location List screen), it locks up there. I was afraid that was going to be the answer. On Mon, Mar 12, 2012 at 9:24 AM, Alan Pereira alanpere...@tiscali.co.uk wrote: Just tried the Potential problems and all works fine for me. Re: [LegacyUG] Legacy Locking up after Update
Still doing it today, after Check Repair (3 images have been renamed) and a reboot. I did do a backup before updating Legacy, but when after the update it told me my file was not in the correct format and had to be updated too. It warned me that doing so would make it incompatible with prior versions (makes sense). I'd really like to get a problem report. What do I try next? Just as a test, I opened the Sample.fdb file, and the Potential Problems locks up on that one too. Further Experimentation... If I click either the Create Problems List or the View Existing Problems List the dang things locks up every time. However, if I click the Preview button, I get a report back.
