Thanks for the suggestion but no good. I unpinned it from the menu and
the taskbar. Closed down computer. Next day opened Legacy from the
"All apps" menu, but still no icon (not the correct Legacy one, that
is). I will try Support.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Legacy icon

Apologies if this is not so much a Legacy matter as a Windows one.

A little while ago when genealogy was taking a brief respite, I unpinned
the Legacy icon from my Windows 11 taskbar but pinned it to what is
probably called the Windows Start menu. Ever since, when I open Legacy
the icon shows on the taskbar as plain white "sheet of paper with top
right corner folded down".

Does anyone know how I can get the proper icon to appear when Legacy is
open?

Thanks. Jim Terry responded and the issue has been resolved. In my case I
merely let the installer run its course.

Re: [LegacyUG] Legacy icon

2013-01-09 Thread Sherry/Support
This is a problem with the Windows Installer. Even though you may have
either removed the Roxio program from your machine or never installed
it there is still an Installer configuration file on the machine that
is starting the Installer when Legacy tries to open a common file used
by both Legacy and Roxio.

Please go to http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall
to run the "Fix-It" tool to fix the issue.

[LegacyUG] Legacy icon

2013-01-09 Thread Randy Clark
I have Legacy pinned to the taskbar and until now it has opened fine from
there. Now, however, a click on the icon gives the message "Please wait
while Windows configures Roxio Creator Premier 10".
I quickly cancel that and Legacy opens as it should. What is causing this?
