Re: [LegacyUG] Need help with a search option has "contains"

Barbara,

Spamming help groups with the same quesyion is never a good idea as it also
confuses the helpers! I have already answered this query, and I now see that
you have had more or less the same answer from someone else.

I'm confused with the 2 user groups...forgive me if this has appeared twice.

I can't seem to find this "contains" options under "search"..like when
you want a list of everyone born in a certain place??

I would appreciate some guidance here...
Thank you in advance
Barb L.

I think all Search options are available in the Standard Edition.

Barb,

Please forgive me if this has already been asked of you.

Are you using Basic Legacy v7 or Deluxe v7? If basic, perhaps the more full
featured searches aren't available to you.

Hi Barb.

Search > Find > Detailed Search > Individual > Death Place > Contains > Long

That would bring up the list of individual's Death Place of 'Long Beach'
or any other instance with 'long' in it.
