Thank you Sherry! For some reason I never picked up on that zoom button as many hundreds of times as I've been in that window. Go figure, but now the notes windows always open with larger type. I didn't see an answer for you I think there is a place to turn off the automatic resizing, but I think it affects all type, not just the Notes fields. As I remember, if you turn it off, you can set the size. Look under Customize... When it opens, I get a small window with reasonably large type. As I expand Notes to full screen size, the text is very small. So, next, I use zoom to enlarge the text to 20 point size and the text is very readable.
