Re: [LegacyUG] Report Marriage List

2012-10-24 Thread Ron Ferguson
I agree. All too often members of this, and many other lists, do not say what
they are actually looking for, although I am certainly not saying that it
applies in this case.

At one time I would try and guess what was the actual point of the question, as
indeed, some still do, however, these days I almost always just try to answer
the question as written. Saves an awful lot of time thinking!!

A list of the children from the marriage is the major item that jumps to
mind.
Most of the rest of the data is about the people such as Birth dates,
Bapt/Chr, Death and Burial, Parents and other spouses but when printed
from the marriage list those are all in one concentrated area. When
printed from a search list the husband and wife are not together, unless
their names or RINs group them that way.

The data you can select for a person is a much longer list but the
grouping is not by married couples.

What 'data' is included in the Marriage List besides the names and the
MRIN's? That CAN be printed from the Name List.

Your approach will only produce a list of people involved in the tagged
marriages. The data you can include for those people is not the same as
the data available from the marriage list.

Re: [LegacyUG] Report Marriage List

There are no options on the print screen that allow only selected
records to be included. The help for that screen also does not say that
the report can be limited to certain records.

We are happy to consider suggestions for new features.

In Legacy 6.0 and 7.0 you can suggest a new feature by clicking on the
link on the Legacy Home Tab Support Section
Other users can make a suggestion here:
http://www.legacyfamilytree.com/Suggest.asp
Use the drop down list in the first box to select a category, Legacy 7
or Legacy Charting.
