[LegacyUG] Templates for SourceWriter

2013-04-13 Thread unique64 Riley
Many times I like to add a new master source using SourceWriter by typing in
the page or section number of EE and then searching under the "What kind of
source do you want to cite?". It was my understanding that every page was
searchable here. I just found one that doesn't come up, page 694, or section
12.53, (online wiki's).

Does anyone know how to find the template for this source and/or if every page
really is searchable? This is the first time I haven't had one be found.

Thanks,

Monique

Geoff Rasmussen may chime in on this since he designed and developed
this part.

It has been my experience that all the pages and topics are not
available (Like Wiki). Put 100 in the search box. Make sure at the
bottom that "Show Evidence Explained page and section numbers" is
checked. Press search.

That brings up page 100 from EE. From there you can see and browse each
page available from EE.

Maybe you know all this, but I thought I would put my stick in the campfire

Happy Hunting

To what does this refer? How is EE connected to Legacy and its
SourcWriter? What (online) Wiki is being referred to? Where is the
checkbox for showing Evidence Explained pages and section numbers?

SourceWriter Templates are based on Elizabeth Shown Mills' book Evidence
Explained. The citation that results from using a SW template should
look the same as the equivalent examples in the book.

What (online) Wiki is being referred to?

It doesn't matter. The secontion the OP referred to relates to
Encyclopaedias in various formats and I suppose a wiki comes under that
heading.

  Where is the
> checkbox for showing Evidence Explained pages and section numbers?

Go to Add a new Master Source and put a page number into the Search box
at the top. The checkbox is at the foot of the Source Template Index
which is the window which opens next.
