Bryan,

You CAN hit options then play to get the document to open but why not just
double click the document? I have a lot of pdfs attached to my file and I just
double click.

I always found it odd that if you add a DOC or PDF or similar to an
individual’s info or event page that you had to click PLAY for it to open. An
unusual choice of options I would have thought.

I was hoping this might have been modernized in this version.

“PLAY” sounds OK with me, if you think about what “Media” was (is) when this
option was first added. This option when first added to most family research
programs was for audio and video, so those one needed to play them.

Thanks,

Or going to the Google Play Store for ebooks or productivity apps. It
seems play is becoming the term for all media, even text documents.

Bryan,

That doesn't seem normal. Are you attaching a Doc or Pdf as a Picture,
Sound, Video or File? What is your Windows default program to open Doc?
PDF? Legacy 7 or 8?

It is perhaps too early in the morning for me, but I am having trouble
following this thread!

play seems reasonable to me since Legacy cannot open these files they need
e.g. Adobe,.Office etc. I.e. additional software.
