RE: [LegacyUG] Legacy 8.0 Questions
Thanks all, I had not expanded it to 100% nor tried to print it. The original is very old and also a small picture. I'm not sure scanning again would help. I'll have to investigate photo shopping. dale -Original Message- From: Cathy Pinner [mailto:genea...@gmail.com] Sent: Thursday, December 12, 2013 9:31 PM To: LegacyUserGroup@LegacyUsers.com Subject: Re: [LegacyUG] Legacy 8.0 Questions Shown in Legacy at 100% it looks just the same as in other photo viewers at 100%. Opening your original in Irfanview at 69% of full size I see the same lines in the image as in the legacy quicklook screen shot. When I enlarge your original to 100 % the lines disappear but the graininess of the original image is more apparent. That said, your original is not very good quality, which exacerbates the problem -- it looks like a scan of a half tone print and could stand some photoshopping to remove the noise and blur the dot a bit. On a positive note then -- better it looks ugly on screen and nice in print than the other way 'round. I've been having that problem in a couple other programs -- image *is* fine, looks good on screen, but when printed -- Dali dropping acid.
