(4) In the end I wanted the data to be readable, the sources available, but no photos, and that is why I choose a GEDCOM platform app, like Family Bee. Personal choice of course, but in the end I wanted all my data readily to hand when I visit the local archives or library, and I find that a GEDCOM app more than meets the bill for this. Charles, Families most definitely does work with Legacy 8. I have a iPhone & iPad, but I know that Malcolm Green (Families developer) has updated both the iOS and Android versions to work with Legacy 8.
