Re: [LegacyUG] Recorded Date?

2013-10-26 Thread Kathy Thompson
I am using it as the date I located, found, or recorded the information.
Copyright date should go in the source citation.

 Dear Group;

 I realize after doing research for decades that I am not at all certain what
 recorded date means. In this case, I am referring to when I am adding
 master sources to my files. At the bottom of the window, there is a field for
 the recorded date.

 Does this mean the date on which I am adding the source? Or the date of the
 publication/webpage/copyright? Or something altogether different?

RE: [LegacyUG] Recorded Date?

2013-10-26 Thread Michele/Support
Roxanne,
I use it to record the date that I added the new source. Many people just
leave it blank. I am a little OCD with fill-in-the-blank forms so I like to
fill it out :) I like knowing when I added the sources.

Thanks everyone! I feel much better, since I have been using the recorded
date field for the date I found the source.
