Re: [LegacyUG] Legacy9 & SugarSync

2017-06-27 Thread Scott Hall
I assume you are only saving your data file (and related) on SugarSync.
The PROGRAM files are on your local machines (as they should be). That
means you'll have to set your configuration/set-up for each instance of
Legacy you have (each computer). If there is a common configuration/set-up
file you can copy, I don't know about it. Anyway, the location of your
Legacy files is C:/Program Files (x86)/Legacy9.

Re: [LegacyUG] Legacy9 & SugarSync

2017-06-27 Thread Cathy Pinner

Colour Schemes are not saved with the Data OR in the Program Files.

They are saved at: ...\Documents\Legacy Family
Tree\_AppData\ColorSchemes\ folder and your actual choices in
...\Documents\Legacy Family Tree\_AppData\usr\ folder

If you move this Legacy Family Tree folder out of Documents, it will
simply be recreated with defaults when you re-start Legacy. You have to
have this path: ...\Documents\Legacy Family Tree\_AppData\.

I installed Legacy9 on my laptop computer as well. I use SugarSync
to sync information between the two. I recall while working on the
desktop version that SugarSync had an upgrade.

While information seems to be exchanged (sync'd) between the
computers the color scheme isn't the same on the laptop version as
is on the desktop. WHERE is the file(s) that contain the color
schemes? WHY aren't they getting sync'd along with the changes to
_data _made on the respective computers?

I know I'm doing something wrong but don't know if the problem is
with Legacy9 or SugarSync. I must not have the file(s) noted for
syncing.

Thanks for the information and education!

Didn't realize how this all worked.
